1. Declaration of birth of a child in wedlock
For the declaration of the child, the presence of one of the parents is required (preferably the Greek citizen), provided that the marriage has already been declared in the Municipality where the parents are registered. In case of a mixed marriage, the declaration is made by the Greek parent
Documents:
• Birth Declaration Application: You are kindly requested to complete the application prior to your attendance at the Consular Office.
• Full Birth Certificate issued by the British registry office duly legalised with an APOSTILLE stamp from the competent British Authorities. A translation of the British birth certificate is not required. It is noted that in case of non-validation of the certificate presented with the Hague Seal, the registration will not be completed.
• Valid passports or Greek ID cards of both parents. In case one of the two is a citizen of an EU Member State, the declaration can be made by presenting the identity card of the Member State. For third-country nationals, a valid passport is required.
| Fees: | Declaration 10€ or equivalent in Sterling. Copy 10€ or equivalent in Sterling. Payment in cash or by UK issued debit or credit card. See section Consular Fees for itemised fees. For documents that authentication of the original signature is required, it is priced at 10 Euros for Greek/EU citizens and 30 Euros for third country nationals equivalent in Sterling. |
